Iron Infusion
Supporting your energy, focus, and wellbeing with balanced iron levels.
Iron plays a vital role in keeping your body energised and functioning properly. It’s a key component of haemoglobin—the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout your body. When iron levels drop, haemoglobin levels also fall, which can leave you feeling fatigued, short of breath, mentally foggy, anxious, or simply worn out. Low iron levels are referred to as iron deficiency, and in more severe cases, anaemia.
When is an iron infusion recommended?
In most cases, your doctor will begin by recommending oral iron supplements to restore your iron levels. However, if your levels are too low, if you have trouble absorbing oral iron, or experience side effects such as nausea or digestive issues, an iron infusion may be the most effective and comfortable option.
An iron infusion delivers iron directly into your bloodstream, allowing for quicker absorption and faster symptom relief—especially for patients needing more immediate results.
Are there side effects?
At Trinity Healthcare Centre, your doctor will carefully assess your individual needs and explain both the benefits and possible side effects of the procedure. While serious side effects are rare, some patients may experience:
Headaches
Nausea
Dizziness
Mild reaction or discomfort at the injection site
Your care and comfort are our priority, and we’ll monitor you throughout the process.
