At Trinity Healthcare Centre, we know that a healthy start in life sets the foundation for a child’s future wellbeing. Our Healthy Kids Check is designed for children aged between 3 and 5 years, and helps ensure your child is meeting key developmental milestones before they start school.
This check gives parents peace of mind by assessing their child’s growth, development, hearing, vision, and overall physical and emotional wellbeing. It’s also a great opportunity to raise any concerns and receive advice tailored to your child’s needs.
Our GPs and nurses are experienced in working with young children and provide care in a warm, supportive environment where your child can feel comfortable and at ease.
What’s Included in a Healthy Kids Check
During your child’s appointment at Trinity Healthcare Centre, we’ll perform a range of simple, non-invasive checks that may include:
Growth measurements (height, weight, BMI)
Hearing and vision screening
Speech and language development
Behavioural and emotional development
Immunisation review (based on the National Immunisation Program)
Nutrition, sleep, and physical activity advice
Review of toileting and dental hygiene habits
If needed, we can also provide referrals to allied health services such as speech therapists, audiologists, or paediatricians.
Regular health checks in early childhood can help detect potential concerns early, giving your child the best chance to thrive.
